Have any stories for Double Shot Debates & Book?

Hi,

Im completing a book; 'Wake Up & Smell The Coffee', to be published in April

You can view the very rough first draft of the book at http://bldw.co/WakeUpAndSmellTheCoffee, using the password 'coffee'.

I have previously sold commercial agencies I founded, raised millions for global charities and achieved international success marathon running and mountain bike racing - all through having a lifestyle and culture that involves working out of coffee shops instead of offices. This book is (meant to be!) an inspiring read and 'how to guide' about the rebirth of coffee shops as the creative and learning spaces of the 21st century & how to live a full life. My LinkedIn profile - uk.linkedin.com/in/chrisatcoffice.

The book is to be launched alongside the UK coffee week where I am hosting a week of high level public debates in London's best coffee houses.

Do you have any great stories on working out of coffee shops (or anywhere away from the office) where you have created or achieved something whilst not in the office - looking to include some in the book (with all links and promotion back to you)

With over half a million people actively involved, UK Coffee Week (22-28 April 2013) is the nation’s biggest celebration of coffee. http://www.ukcoffeeweek.com.The coffee industry unites to run a great week of events in the best artisan coffee shops while raising money for Project Waterfall, the charity delivering clean water projects in African coffee-growing countries.

During the week I am running a series of high profile inspiring debates and conversations in the best coffee shops: The Double Shot Debates.

Utilising coffee shops for what in the 18th century they were best known for and are returning to - stimulating the best new life changing ideas and debate. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Penny_University

I am currently putting the programme together and looking for great ideas for topics for debate and suggestions for the best speakers...

We want to cover a broad range of subjects from the best that the UK has to offer; from campaigning to consumerism, media to mobile, entertainers to entrepreneurs, creative leaders to business leaders. We are running 15 events, for audiences ranging from 40-200, many attendees being the opinion leading freelancers and creatives who use coffee shops for work and inspiration on a daily basis...

Please let us know if you are involved in any campaigns, releases, publications, UK vista around that time that we can consider?

Best,

Chris
